Frequently asked questions
What is a context file?
A short document about you (role, projects, goals, how you like answers, things to avoid) that you paste into any AI so it stops starting from zero.
Doesn't AI memory already do this?
Partly. Memory decides on its own what to keep, and it's different in every app. Your own file is predictable, portable, and fully under your control.
How long should it be?
Full version: about 400 to 700 words. Short version: under 1,000 characters so it fits every settings box.
Is it private?
Whatever you paste is stored by that AI company. Leave out passwords, account numbers, private health details and other people's information.
The AI isn't following my file.
Make the key rules shorter and more direct and put them near the top, e.g. "Always give the answer first."
What's the difference between the free card and the full kit?
The free Mini Context Card is a one-page starter. The full Context Kit (pay what you want, $19 suggested, $9 minimum) adds the full template, a worked example, the setup guide for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok, and the Interview Yourself and Monthly Refresh prompts.
